Myth-busting Finance Workshop Set at Two Locations

It’s a common question: “What does it cost to live at La Posada?” The answer to that and several other financial topics will be provided at events being held at two locations in June.

The Madera Clubhouse at Quail Creek is one venue for “Myth-busting Finance Workshop” with a choice of two dates: June 16 or 23, each from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Posada Java will host two more dates for the event: June 18 or 30, from 3-5 p.m. A meal is included at each event.

La Posada staff will explain various financial aspects of living at the Continuing Care Retirement Community including:
• What is a refundable entrance fee and how is it used?
• How do monthly costs compare to my current expenses?
• What are the tax benefits of a not-for-profit continuing care community?

Reservations are necessary. Seating is limited.  Call 520-648-8131 for information or to RSVP. Please join us!

BEYOND Event Jan. 10 at The Shoppes at La Posada

BEYOND will be hosted at The Shoppes at La Posada on Jan. 10. It is a commemoration of the January 2011 shooting tragedy in Tucson during an event hosted by then-U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords.   Each year, an event called BEYOND serves as a remembrance of those who died, as a dedication to those injured, and as a focus on how we as a community move beyond tragedy into a bright future. At Posada Java, on Saturday, January 10, the BEYOND commemoration will include music, inspirational talks by U.S. Rep. Ron Barber — who was among the injured — and words from, DPS Chaplain Vernon Harms. Isabelle’s Ice Cream will provide complimentary ice cream. Come to The Shoppes at La Posada on Saturday, January 10 at 10 a.m. to be part of this meaningful event.
